The Arkansas Vein Clinic and Skin Care team is led by Dr. Norma Smith, a licensed physician, board-certified member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology since 1996, and Arkansas’ first diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. Our highly-trained staff includes licensed nurses and 3 licensed sonographers, specially trained to assist our patients with education, evaluation, and treatment.
Dr. Norma Smith, MD, DABVLM, RVT, RPhS
Dr. Norma Smith received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. She completed her residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in 1993. Dr. Norma Smith is an established physician and has been in private practice since 1993, practicing in gynecology and obstetrics since 1998. In 2004 Dr. Norma Smith expanded her practice to include the treatment of varicose veins. In 2009 she became the first Diplomat of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in the state of Arkansas. In 2011 Dr. Norma Smith refocused her practice to the treatment of vein disorders, chronic venous ulcers, and aesthetic treatments. Dr. Norma Smith and her licensed ultrasound staff are IAC accredited for peripheral venous studies.
